10 Months Old!

Ethan turned 10 months old on Sunday, and it is hard to believe that in less than 2 months, we will be celebrating his 1st birthday.  Time is continuing to move so quickly, and so is Ethan these days.  He's developed a new speed of crawling that is lightening fast, and usually it's when he's after Milli, our beagle, who's still less than impressed with Ethan overall.  He is wearing her out these days and both of them are getting plenty of exercise!  

In addition to crawling at light speed, he is continuing to pull up on anything and everything, and he is standing alone for longer periods of time, and his balance seems better everyday.  He cruises along furniture, walls, appliances, whatever is handy, and is braver and braver moving between objects.  He is also more and more chatty, with lots and lots of "dada dada" "baba", "ya ya", "na na na", and an occasional "la", some growling here and there, and only if he is in extreme distress will he say "MA".  

He is so much fun and it is amazing to watch him gain new skills each day.  He makes me laugh out loud at least once a day, but usually much more frequently.  He recently started "dancing", i.e., standing, holding on to something and doing mini squats with little to no rhythm at this point, but he is so proud of himself!  I've yet to catch this on video, but will share if I get it. His current favorite song is "Where is Ethan..."; we sing it at story time at the library, and when we get to the "we're so glad to see you" part with clapping, he flaps his arms like crazy and tries his hardest to clap.  He loves being outside, and we have taken advantage of this spring like weather!  Here are a few pics from the last few weeks...
