We went to the gym, as usual, on Tuesday morning since the weather predictions were for a "dusting." When it started snowing midway through my class, I was distracted by the beauty of it, and found myself hoping it would last until class was over so that Ethan could see it. I had no idea that it would continue to snow for hours and quickly go from beautiful to treacherous. We made it home, praying all the way, after slipping and sliding and getting stuck on ice, detouring several times, and never have I been as thankful as I was to be at home. Once I saw the news, I realized how truly fortunate we were and that our adventurous ride home was nothing compared to so many of our friends and neighbors. Tyson, unfortunately has been stuck at UAB since Tuesday, but just got home! As much as we have missed him, we have been thankful, knowing that he was safe and warm.
Ethan has so enjoyed the snow and we have tried to make the most of it, in short bursts due to the COLD! Carter appears to enjoy the snow from the distance, as you will see in the pics below:) Several things I have learned from Snow 2014...
1. We really need to get E some waterproof gloves in his size!
2. Apparently Snow is what it takes to get E to willingly wear rain boots and a coat
3. I don't tell Tyson enough how much I appreciate him and all he does around the house!
