Worth the Wait

Tis the season for lots of things, but in the Belue household this month, it has been the season for the crud:/ We've all had some form of it, more than once this month, and poor Carter has been the sickest. He's had 2 ear infections and most recently, bronchiolitis, which was one of the most frustrating experiences yet as a parent. No real treatment since it's viral; never have I wanted so badly to take on a sickness from my child! He was pitiful for several days, but then perked up and has been feeling (and eating) better and better everyday, so we are hoping for an almost to well-baby for Christmas!

Tis also the season for the telling and re-telling of the story of Jesus' birth, and the reenactment with the Little People Nativity Set. My favorite rendition of the story so far is when Ethan was moving Mary and Joseph around, pretending to knock on doors, "knock knock, no room... knock, knock, no room". Baby Jesus is also never in the stable, always "out in the open, so everybody can see him" Yesterday, he had a "wiseman tower" so they could see baby Jesus.

Tis also the season for Santa visits, and this year we saw 3! Carter observed each, but had no strong like nor dislike for them. Ethan did choose to see each Santa, but it was just to fulfill his mission of obtaining the candy cane afterwards!

Tis also the season for travel, but our visit to Florence to see Tyson's family was abbreviated since Carter wasn't quite over his illness. We enjoyed our time with family and hope to be back for a longer visit when everyone is well. We will head to Slapout later this week to continue Christmas celebrations.
