Hippity Hoppity, Easter's on it's way

We started off our Easter Celebrations today with an Easter Egg Hunt at church, followed by a trip to Whole Foods for their "Eggstravaganza" egg hunt.  We haven't talked a lot about the Easter Bunny, because 1. We want the focus to be on Jesus, and 2. Let's face it, Santa was a disaster, so I wasn't going to push going to sit in a giant stuffed bunny's lap. So, this morning, I explained where we were going, and that all the "egg hunting" practice was for today, and I also told Ethan that an Easter Bunny would be at church just today.  He said "Sit, Bun Bun", and I thought sure, I'll believe it when I see it....
Ethan absolutely LOVED the Easter Bunny today; he sat "beside" him every chance he could get; in between every other child's photo with the EB, I had to pull E down from the bench!  As for "hunting" eggs I'm not sure he got the whole experience today; at church we had an "egg drop" due to all the rain, and at Whole Foods, eggs were hidden throughout the store (which may make future grocery trips interesting).  We will have a family Easter celebration next weekend, so I'm sure more "hunts" (and pics) are in his future.  Here are the highlights from today.
First Easter Bunny sighting...

So far, going much better than when Santa was this close...

Solemn, but no tears

Ok, so I just pick these eggs up and put them in my basket?

March update

This month, like most is going sooo quickly!  We've had fun and tried to enjoy the few spring-like days we've had with visits to the park and zoo.  Another highlight of the month was Disney LIVE! at the BJCC; to say Ethan was mesmerized by Mickey would be an understatement.  We followed that up with a visit to Bruster's for E's first ice cream cone (he's had ice cream before, but never his own cone).  Needless to say, "ice cream" has been added to his vocabulary:)
This is such a fun age, and it is so fun to watch him grow and learn; it's almost like you can see him making connections and understanding more and more each day.  He is talking so much, putting more and more words together, and enjoying his newfound "sentences".  Keeping up with him is the challenge these days; he is so fast and always on the go, exploring, galloping, running, jumping.  I treasure the moments when he will still climb up in my lap with a book for me to "read read".  So thankful for this sweet boy and the joy he brings!  Enjoy the pics!

Riding the "dinosaur" at the zoo

Loving on the goat in the zoo petting area

Goats are sooo funny!

Brushing the sheep

Checking out the veggies at the McWane Center

I'm not sure what he does at night to make his hair look like this in the am...

The second half of February...

So behind on posting pics... The second half of February was fun!  The first pics below are from the weekend of the Mercedes Marathon.  We went on Saturday to pick up Tyson's packet and cheer on our Bell Center friends in the Kids Race; then it was off to Big Machines Day at McWane.  Our first Saturday visit to McWane, and wow, was it crowded; that did not seem to bother Ethan in the least, as you'll see in the pics...  The rest of the pics are from an afternoon outside, spent mostly chasing Ethan and playing ball.
Running free...

Aw, caught by dada....
Wow, the machines at Big Machines day are really BIG!

All aboard...

Would you trust this driver?

Now we're talking, I can reach all the shifters

What do you mean my turn is over?

Maybe the first "flat hair" picture ever?

If that machine driving doesn't work out, I could maybe be a weatherman?

I've got the pointing down!

Bundled up waiting for Daddy to run by during the Mercedes 1/2 Marathon

Here he comes, "go Dada"

Dada stopped for kisses, maybe that helped him run his fastest 1/2 ever....

Ok, I guess we can go back to our yard...

Soccer or football?

As long as I get to run, I don't care!

Dropping back to pass...

Dropping football in bushes...

Mischeivious  eyes?

Winner!!
Love my dada!
