Worth the Wait

Since the last post, I feel like we've been doing lots of celebrating. Celebrating Easter with family, celebrating Carter's successful ear tube surgery, celebrating the beautiful spring weather, and most recently, Ethan's THIRD birthday! The past few weeks have flown by, and I can't believe we now have a 3 year old and in about 5ish weeks will have a 1 year old! Here are some recent pics from all the celebrating….

Celebrating Carter's surgery

After having to postpone Carter's ear tube surgery twice due to illness, we were anxious and ready for him to get his tubes after so many ear infections. The day could not have gone any better, and we definitely felt the prayers of our family and friends! Precious Carter did not shed a single tear, despite getting up and out of the house without a bottle (and you can tell by his size that he does not miss any meals:). He fell asleep while we were waiting for them to take him back and stayed asleep as I handed him off to the nurse (the hardest thing I think I have ever done), and literally 7 minutes after said hand-off, the surgeon was in our room telling us it was over and that everything had gone great! Then 13 minutes later, our precious boy was back in our arms! He did great and we were back to a normal routine the next day, playing with friends and exploring the flight museum.

Celebrating Spring weather

We find ourselves outside most every afternoon after Carter's nap, and both boys love being outside!

Of course spring in Alabama means occasional tornado warnings, so off to the basement we went, thankful that we got the "all clear" quickly!

When we aren't outside, there's plenty of play indoors...

Celebrating Ethan turning 3!

Ethan had a very fun birthday party at iJump, and he chose a "Thomas cake with a tunnel" for his birthday cake. It was a fun morning of chaos with family and friends, and then an afternoon of gift opening. We celebrated him again on Sunday, his actual birthday, and he chose lunch, the toy store and the zoo, followed by more outside time with his new toys. We had a great time as a family, and are so thankful for our sweet boys and the joy they bring to our life!
