A Season of Thankfulness

So, November was a blur, and now Christmas is less than 2 weeks away; time slow down!  This is my favorite season of the year, and seeing it through the eyes of Ethan and Carter definitely makes it fun!  November's weather kept us on our toes, some days were pleasant which meant park fun, and the bitter cold days had us seeking indoor fun.  We enjoyed Ethan's 3k "Indian Pow Wow" just before Thanksgiving, and then we had a great Thanksgiving with our families.  December so far has been a busy and fun month for us too.  We've seen Santa (C-not a fan), and we attended a walk-through Nativity (C was definitely a fan of the cookies afterwards).  We are looking forward to celebrating Christmas with our families, and the boys are loving the advent calendar, adding pieces of the Nativity each day, counting down to Christmas Eve, when Baby Jesus (Jeshus according to Carter) goes in the manger.  Here are a few pics from the past month...

This was E's starting point with Santa

He got a little closer with his friend

Carter is just not sure...

Until Santa gives him the bells...

But once Santa takes them back, he is "all done"!!

E finally warmed up to Santa

C, not so much...

However, they did both LOVE the cookies and milk afterward!
Bundled up for the walk-through nativity
Fun at the petting zoo afterward

Halloween 2014

Halloween 2014 is in the books, with striking differences in temps from sweltering Trunk or Treat on Sunday, where Batman and Robin went "commando-ish" in their costumes to a blustery Halloween on Friday with double layers!  The temps did not seem to phase the boys though; I guess when candy is involved, nothing else really matters... Here are a few pics from the week:

"I'm Batman!"
